both hands on groin. Add pressure for 45 seconds and then release (Clients normally feel warm sensation from upper leg to tip of toe)

Sit as picture and use both hands to massage inside leg.

21. Chopping Method – Upper Leg:

Place both hands together and move up and down similar to a chopping motion.

Sit on the side of client and massage upper and lower leg.

After finish massaging left leg, move to client’s right side and repeat number 2-22 before next steps

Put body weight on your palms. Repeat up and down.

Cross client’s left leg over right leg. Right hand over client’s left shoulder and left hand over client’s left knee. Put pressure down until knee touches floor. Do it 3 times, move foot slightly each time.

7 easy methods to learn and practice basic Thai neck massage. The following methods help to reduce muscle sprain and soreness caused from falling off pillows, reduce headache, increase blood circulation, balance body hormones, and reduce stress.

Basic Traditional Massage – Neck.  Method 1 “Squeeze neck”

This helps reduce headache symptom and soreness caused by head falling off pillows.

  • How to:  Have client sit on floor or chair.  Massage therapist stands behind client.  Right hand holds client’s head.  Left hand holds nape of neck and squeeze all the way down to neck.  Apply pressure on all fingers.

This helps reduce headache symptom and sore from falling off pillows.

  • How to:  Have client sit on floor or chair.  Massage therapist stands behind client.  Massage temple with left hands.  Left thumb on client’s left temple and middle finger on client’s right temple (palm is over forehead).

Then, make “V” using thumbs and index fingers.  Place thumbs between ear bone and neck muscle.  Place index fingers on both temples.  Apply pressure.

This helps reduce headache symptom and sore from falling off pillows.

  • How to: Put both hands together (picture) over client’s neck.  Use thumbs to apply pressure on neck muscles beside spine line.  This is approximately 1 inch below upper neck line.  Put pressure on the rest of fingers.

Traditional Thai Massage Introduction

Massaging has played a very important role in self-healing. Traditional Thai massage has been known since King V and King VI of Thailand.  A very popular Royal message therapist Inthewada, taught his sons Chid Thechapan, Grud, and Yai Seethawathin.

There are two types of Thai massage:

  1. The Royal Massage
  2. The General Massage (Chaleaysak)

 

  1. The Royal Massage is used in royal palace only.  Therefore, all methods are proper and they only use fingers to massage king and royal family.

 

  1. The General Massage is used within family or community.  Fingers, elbows, feet can be used.  The sessions are normally long to provide complete relaxation and can put clients to sleep.  This type of massage is very famous and well received.
